the Holocaust. The struggles she faces
and the happiness that can still happen during such a time period from a
child’s point of view.

This
book is for older student’s fourth – sixth grade. It would be a great way to integrate
literature into a social studies lesson on the Holocaust. It gives a realistic account of the time
period and a realistic view of the happenings during WWII.
